Stubborn means difficult to manage or supress, refusing to agree or give in and unreasonably obstinate. This word is used as an adjective, for example; he is a stubborn child and he has a stubborn horse. Stubborn's origin is from 1350-1400s but it is unknown from where or from what word it comes.
I learned this word in my English class when I was in the eleven grade. We were reading the book "From Mice and Men", I really don't remember the author but it was a good book. At first I had no idea of what it meant until my teacher told us the definition and used in a sentence. I was impress of how this word meant so much and now I know how to use it in my everyday life.
